FAQs

  • A registered agent is the person or entity, chosen by a limited liability company (LLC) or corporation, that the State of Washington will contact if it needs to communicate with said LLC or corporation. The Registered Agent receives annual reports, notices, and service of process on behalf of the organization they represent. A registered agent is also responsible for sending any paperwork or important information it receives to the LLC or corporation representatives.

  • The short answer, yes. All Corporations, LLC’s, and Limited Partnerships doing business in Washington must have a Registered Agent with a physical Washington State address. The Registered Agent may be an individual or a business.

  • A registered agent must be a resident of the state, have a physical address where legal service can be accomplished, and have someone available during regular business hours. PSRA meets these requirements and we pride ourselves on timely responses, regular reminders of filing due dates, and efficient processes.

  • Our current billing is as follows:

$60 – Secretary of State Filing Fee, bank and processing fee

$190 – Annual Registered Agent Service

Total: $250 per year paid in advance.

Washington Secretary of State fees are charged as applicable. For example, changes to the LLC or corporation through an Amended Annual Report are generally $10 and there is $25 fee if the deadline to renew the entity is not met.

  • Fill out and submit the form on our Hire Us page. We will then contact you to finalize any necessary additional information and send you an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, we will make the changes necessary with the Secretary of State.

  • Yes, we do! Our process is to invoice you and, after we receive payment, the online annual renewal is filed. This is why the Secretary of State fee is included in PSRA’s annual fee. It is very important that you keep PSRA updated with the best contact information for your entity and pay the annual invoice upon receipt so that the renewal can be filed timely.

  • We use QuickBooks Online invoicing which provides you with an itemized invoice and a secure way to pay online. If you prefer to pay via check they must be sent no less than a week before the final renewal date or you may be subject to the Secretary of State late fee.

  • Not at all. We are here to provide the Registered Agent Service for as long as you would like. If you decide that it is not a service that you would like to continue or you would like to dissolve your entity, just email us at pugetsoundregisteredagent@gmail.com. We will then remove PSRA as the Registered Agent of record and we direct you to the proper Washington Secretary of State change of registered agent form for you to complete and submit.
